About Sidney
Sidney served in the United States Navy where he was part of the award-winning Crash and Salvage Crew, lead the divisional training division, and served as the Fly II Petty Officer onboard the USS Wasp (LHD-1) and supported the Global War on Terrorism and Operation Enduring Freedom.
Sidney spent almost 20 years in the fire service where he spent time as a volunteer chief in a combination department and a lieutenant in a busy urban career department. He was awarded the Virginia Firefighter of the Year award for work done in advancing the Virginia Fire Service in the area of firefighter behavioral health and suicide awareness. He developed and lead the Peer Support Team for his department and was instrumental in developing the PST for numerous other departments. He also served on numerous committees and teams including the Strategic Planning Team, Accreditation Team, and Department Safety Committee, and wrote numerous policies during his time as the Department Safety Officer. He was also a credentialed Fire Officer through the Center for Public Safety Excellence.
Sidney now owns and runs one of the most reviewed and highest-rated home inspection companies in the Metro Richmond area as well as a real estate investment company and leadership consulting company that specializes in leadership training, personality assessments, strategic planning, and team building. He holds a Master’s in Management and Organizational Leadership, Bachelor’s in Occupational Safety and Health, and an Associate's in Fire Science. He has presented at conferences all over the east coast and has consulted for numerous companies in the areas of leadership, team building, emotional intelligence, and more.
